In 1998 Swarovski debuted The Peacock their second edition limited to 10,000 pieces worldwide. It was distributed through a lottery type drawing and I was a lucky winner. There were only 2,900 issued in the US. The Peacock has 19 Blue crystal stones on the peacocks feathers. The head has a sterling silver crest, and the body is highlighted with blue stones and has clawed feet. The Peacock is permanently attached to a black pedestal base, engraved with the signature of Adi Stocker, the designer and the year of introduction. 7607 000 002 / 218 123. A framed Certificate of Authenticity included shows the signatures of Adi Stocker and Helmut Swarovski certifying this piece is number 6,032 of 10,000 in the world and the tools in the manufacture of The Peacock were destroyed at completion of this edition.
