Item under consideration is a vintage, clear & frosted crystal glass, 4 inch tall SWAROVSKI figurine. TOGETHERNESS, Figurine #013560, depicts’Lovebirds perched on a tree limb’. Produced by Swarovski Crystal of Austria as their PREMIER 1st Annual Edition Figurine for the newly formed SWAROVSKI COLLECTORS SOCIETY (SCS) in 1987. A Serious collector’s piece. TOGETHERNESS figurine consists of two 3 1/2 inch long love birds with faceted clear crystal bodies, heads and tails, frosted beaks and feet, with black crystal eyes. The love birds are mounted on the branch of a 2 3/8 inch tall frosted crystal tree. The irregular shaped frosted base of the tree is 2 1/8 inch Long x 1 7/8 inch wide. The bottom of the tree base contains the SCS’ mark with the number 87′ (year produced), and letters MS for Swarovski artist Max Schreck designer of the piece (see photo# 9). SWAROVSKI COLLECTORS SOCIETY(SCS). Swarovski Crystal established the SCS in 1985. Among member benefits Swarovski created a series of Annual Edition Crystal Creations (production discontinued at each year s end). Each unique yearly creation’s distribution is strictly limited to SCS members, with only one copy to each member. The figurine TOGETHERNESS was the 1ST ANNUAL EDITION created for the SCS (1987).
