This is a really great sculpture of a black hunter with two ducks smoking his pipe. It is carved from a single piece of mahogany and stands an impressive 40 tall…. The diameter of the log was 12. He had been out in the weather and was completely grey, but some Danish teak oil and cabinet wax has restored the natural color for the most part. This was very sensitively crafted and the artist captured the vibe of this old gent wonderfully! A crack in the base was poorly filled, but should be easy to level out and touch up.
