This item appears to me to be in Pre-Owned condition. There is a lot of wear and condition issues with this item. There are chips, scratches, rubs, and marks. I do not see any cracks through the item. You must check all photos carefully for the full extent. This item is a rare piece. Though it’s condition is rough it is still a wonderful piece of history. This is a Nittany lion sculpture marked warneke. This item is a casting reproduction from the original warneke lion that is at Penn State. This one is special because it has a brass name plate on the base where the lion stands that says JAPAN-USA Penn State 1972. Which from some brief search I believe was to commemorate when Japanese Gymnasts visited Penn State in 1972 which is a bit of history that is kind of neat. I do not know much else about this item or who owned it before coming into my possession, But despite its wear it is certainly a unique piece.
