A magnificent addition to any vintage décor for Italian Art lovers. This is a Rare Pair of Porcelain Figures of Italian Theater (Commedia dell’arte) of a Gentleman and a Lady holding masks. The hand painted pair show intricate detail, and a nice size at 17+ and 16 inches each respectively. They both are numbered and signed Delle P….. “(I can’t make out the signature, see photos), also impressed “Made in Italy at the bottom of the bases. They also bear a “Paul’s Italy” stamp at the bottom. Paul’s was an Import company based in New Jersey. Unfortunately one of the company’s policy was to make sure that the items they imported did not include the maker’s name or logo. Paul’s used many different manufacturers and studios in their wholesale line, including Capodimonte and others.. Figurines are in very good condition for age with no major damage other than some small paint losses, tiny cracks and scuff marks, I have shown these imperfections in the photos (as indicated with a pen).
