LZFI (Leningrad Porcelain Factory). The abbreviation LZFI for a little over ten years (from 1956 to 1967) was worn by the Leningrad Porcelain Factory of the GUMP of the Leningrad City Executive Committee, which worked as a pilot plant at the State Research Ceramic Institute (GIKI). GIKI specialists developed and improved new compositions of ceramics, faience and porcelain, necessary in various branches of Soviet industry. In the workshops of the pilot plant, these recipes were tested. But connoisseurs of Soviet antiques remember the abbreviation LZFI more not as the main, but as a side activity of the plant: beautiful porcelain figurines.
