Up for sale an authentic unmarked mid-18th century Sevres biscuit porcelain figure of a gardener (in need of restoration) after the Rococo artist Francois Boucher presenting a garland of flowers in his hat to his absent female companion. The biscuit porcelain gardener figure leans against a naturalistic tree stump with is watering can nearby. Wonderful expression and detail on the face and the figure in general. The left hand holding the hat has broken off with slight loss of material on the underside of the wrist and the left arm has broken at the bicep, holding the hat with the garland of flowers, all in one piece. The figure measures 9″ high with a base measurement of 4.75″ x 4. The last photo shows a the figure in listed in.
