For your consideration a GA-80 (80% silver) Silver Italian Wedding Blindfolded Lady with Cornucopia Filled with Fruit on a Cherry Wood Mount. Here are some facts about this item. The tradition began in Ancient Rome when the veil was used to hide the bride from any spirits that would corrupt her and the bridesmaids were to wear similar outfits so that the evil spirits were further confused. In classical antiquity, the cornucopia, also called the horn of plenty, was a symbol of abundance and nourishment, commonly a large horn-shaped container overflowing with produce, flowers or nuts. In modern days, this is a gift that would be placed on the tables for guests that attend the wedding.
